Summertime Fun

William and Lindsey have been having a blast since summer officially kicked-off with Wills being done with school. Lindsey just loves waking up and seeing William already here, instead of waiting until 3 o'clock in the afternoon. We have gone to beach several times, ridden our bikes down to the local playground, and even set up the kiddie pool so the kids (and dogs!!! yikes!) can play in that without dragging all of the sand home from the beach. Lindsey also just got her first bikini. Too darn cute!!!

The Aftermath

Don't have to say too much here. This picture is from after the beach. Just too darn cute!! By the way, Lindsey is 10 months old today! Yikes! Time goes way tooooo fast!!!!

1st Beach Trip with Big Brother!

After celebrating William's completion of first grade with lunch and a quick visit to Toys 'R Us, we went to the beach to have a little more fun. Lindsey LOVED William being down there with her and kept wanting to go further and further out into the water to keep up with him. They played in the sand together, with their beach toys, and with each other. Lindsey even helped try to bury William by putting some sand on him. Lindsey is a true Beach Baby!

1st Trip to the Beach!

Lindsey took her first trip to the beach yesterday. She had a GREAT time! She absolutely loved splashing in the water, playing with the sand, and feeling the sand squish between her toes. We would go in the water, and then come back out for a few minutes. After a while I noticed that her lip was quivering so we stayed out for the rest of the time and stayed warm in the hot sand. Next time we'll have to take big brother William with so he can play with us. (His last day of school is today--an official 2nd grader now!!!) I have a feeling Lindsey is going to love having William around all summer. So many things to do and play!! :)

Sittin' Pretty

I apologize that it has been awhile since I've posted. The top photo is testament to the lengthy delay. We have had several projects going this Spring and finally have a couple of them finished. One being the front landscape area. We added a bunch more bricks to tie the original area and shrubs together. We also got our garden in and planted, and I am still working on the side of the house. Lots to do, plus take care of the baby!!

As you can see in the second picture, Lindsey is a happy baby. She is still working on getting better at walking. She has been working on that for about a month now. Linds also has two teeth now that are just broken through. She has actually dealt with the pain pretty well:) Amidst all of that, Jason and I just celebrated our 2nd anniversary and enjoyed dinner and a movie (Shrek 3) without little Miss. Grandma Bower gladly babysat:)

She Found the Water Bowl

Firstly, I'm sorry that I couldn't figure out how to rotate the first picture. I'll see if Daddy can do that later. I just thought it was too cute to pass up. Anyway, while I was minding my own business, little Lindsey crawled over to the dogs' water bowl, found it, and dumped it all over herself. As soon as I asked her "What are you doing?", she smiled very proudly and continued to splash all over the place. It was a very funny moment, but I think I'm going to have to move the bowls from now on ;)

Fun at the Derby

William competed in his first Pinewood Derby race about two weeks ago. He had a great time and learned a lot while working on his car (including patience). William's car took 5th place overall out of 22. Lindsey was there to cheer him on the whole time and even took an hour nap while waiting for the races to finish. They got to play together outside while some of the other scouts were racing their cars. A truly fun filled day.
