What We've Been Up To

So we've been up to a few things lately. Picture One shows that the kids have been enjoying the kiddie pool. It's a nice alternative to the beach since we don't have to drive anywhere and there's no messy sand to deal with! :) Picture Two has William reading to Lindsey. She absolutely love reading and William reading to her is like icing on the cake. He's is soo cool to her! She really thinks her brother is a lot of fun. Picture Three is of William in front of our garden--though that picture is a week old now and the garden is already much bigger than that. We're all looking forward to eating our yummy vegetables from it when they're ready. And lastly, a quick shot of Lindsey walking. She's been walking for a while now, but this is the first time that I got a picture of her in action. Lindsey hardly crawls around here anymore. She simply prefers to walk! Among those activities, we have also been visiting the library during their storytime hours, enjoying music at the monument in downtown Racine, and of course, lots of walks when it's cool out (which it has been lately--today's high was 68!!).

Summertime Fun

William and Lindsey have been having a blast since summer officially kicked-off with Wills being done with school. Lindsey just loves waking up and seeing William already here, instead of waiting until 3 o'clock in the afternoon. We have gone to beach several times, ridden our bikes down to the local playground, and even set up the kiddie pool so the kids (and dogs!!! yikes!) can play in that without dragging all of the sand home from the beach. Lindsey also just got her first bikini. Too darn cute!!!

Don't have to say too much here. This picture is from after the beach. Just too darn cute!! By the way, Lindsey is 10 months old today! Yikes! Time goes way tooooo fast!!!!

1st Beach Trip with Big Brother!

After celebrating William's completion of first grade with lunch and a quick visit to Toys 'R Us, we went to the beach to have a little more fun. Lindsey LOVED William being down there with her and kept wanting to go further and further out into the water to keep up with him. They played in the sand together, with their beach toys, and with each other. Lindsey even helped try to bury William by putting some sand on him. Lindsey is a true Beach Baby!

1st Trip to the Beach!

Lindsey took her first trip to the beach yesterday. She had a GREAT time! She absolutely loved splashing in the water, playing with the sand, and feeling the sand squish between her toes. We would go in the water, and then come back out for a few minutes. After a while I noticed that her lip was quivering so we stayed out for the rest of the time and stayed warm in the hot sand. Next time we'll have to take big brother William with so he can play with us. (His last day of school is today--an official 2nd grader now!!!) I have a feeling Lindsey is going to love having William around all summer. So many things to do and play!! :)
