Mark's 1st Birthday Party

Lindsey's little cousin, Mark, just celebrated his first birthday today. We went over to his house and had a lot of fun playing with bubbles, party hats, and of course, balloons! They had a few red balloons outside and inside of the house and Lindsey played with all of them. She spent most of her time chasing them around, but most of them kept popping on the grass--which sent her in to tears. She actually stopped playing with them for a while! As we had cake inside, Lindsey became comfortable with them again and chased them around the house. She had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed some yummy food--including brownies:)

A Couple Video Clips......

Here's a couple video clips of the kids playing (and one with grandpa) from this past week. They were having so much fun together that I had to get video of it. Lindsey does, admittedly, like to play rough sometimes and William doesn't seem to mind her playing that way with him.

22 Months Old!!

A few pictures of Lindsey playing outside in her kiddie pool a couple days back. I explain further down about not posting on her exact date for 22 Months Old...

Firstly, I apologize for posting a day late. Yesterday, Lindsey's grandpa graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology. The ceremony itself was held at The Civic Opera House on LaSalle Street. Absolutely beautiful theatre. Their guest speaker, Joe Mantegna, is an actor (and Chicago native) and has appeared in films such as Baby's Day Out, The Godfather III, The Simpson's as "Fat Tony" (and a whole bunch of others that I haven't seen) but is also on the show Criminal minds, and spoke about his experiences with Forensic Psychology while also throwing in some funny anecdotes. Very funny speech.

While William and I spent a wonderful day in downtown Chi-town, Lindsey spent the day with Grandma Bower. It really would have been a verrrrryyyyyy long day for her to just sit and watch, or sit in a car, or walk long Chicago blocks. I know she had a very fun day with Grandma, which included a lot of outside time, playing with Auntie Julie and Uncle Jesse, and her first Relay for Life with them! She even got to walk the track several times with Grandma and Auntie and Uncle. Very busy Friday the 13th for everyone.

William mid morning--pre-lunch at Portillo's Restaurant. Afterwards he said he had the best hot dog ever!!

It's Summer Time!!

It's officially summer time for William! Today is his first Monday off of school:) Lindsey is already in love with having him at home. They took a bath together last night, played 'monsters' (a William calls it) in Lindsey's bed and have basically been inseparable since he got home yesterday. She loves playing with him sooo much. He really enjoys carrying her around and chasing her from time to time. We have been having a lot of rain lately, so we've been doing a lot of inside stuff. Tomorrow it's supposed to sunny--that'll be nice! I'll get some pictures of the kids at the park and beach when it finally dries up around here. Until then, lots of indoor activities. I'm planning on taking the kiddies to Chuck E. Cheese's tonight since it's supposed to rain ALL day And daddy is out of town again for a couple of days. I'll snap some pictures.
P.S. I just wanted to add that Lindsey said her first 'two word phrase' yesterday--"purple ball!!!"

Just Playing in My Jammies :)

Just wanted to post of a few pictures of Lindsey just casually hanging out in her jammies that way you can capture what it's like when she's winding down for the night. The first picture she is just hanging out with her daddy having some crackers before bed. The second and third picture Lindsey is playing on her puppy (Bailey) on our bed. The last picture of Lindsey finally asleep in her bed, all tuckered out. The video is just funny. She thought it was a good idea to hang out in our bathroom on the toilet with her Little People toys. She kept arranging and re-arranging them on the back of the toilet, having her own little conversation. Kinda gross, if you ask me, but I do clean in there occasionally ;)
