Happy 1st Birthday, Lindsey!!

It's official!! Lindsey is 1 year old now. Jason and I stayed up last night and recalled the events that took place hour by hour, and then showered Lindsey with kisses (in our bed) at exactly 12:34 a.m. Lindsey's party was on Saturday at Grandma Bower's house. She (we all) had a Great time! The weather was nice (warm, but not too hot) and the kids got to play outside on the water slide and Lindsey got to play in her kiddie pool for a bit after we had dinner. Lindsey received wonderful gifts from her family and friends, and ulitmately, loved the boxes that they came in!! Alex's 1st Birthday!

Lindsey's buddy, Alex, turned one year old on August 2nd! We went to their house and enjoyed some yummy food and good company. Among Lindsey's favorite things, balloons!! Alex had some really cute Sesame Street balloons and she just couldn't get enough of them. (I already some for her party on Saturday!) She also thought that he got a lot of neat toys. Guess we'll have to see what she gets this weekend :) It's been fun watching these two grow and change over this first year. Can't wait for her party. Though it will make me sad to accept that she's not a baby anymore, I am happy to see all of the new things that she can do now: reach for an item that she wants, eat a lot of big people food, say things like ga ga gaaa, and walk really well. Such a big girl. Such a sweetheart.

Fair Fun

Lindsey went to the fair for the first time the other week. She had a great time seeing all of the animals and sampled some of her first fair food (corn dog--can't pass those up!). While we were in the petting zoo, Lindsey was able to feel a bunch of different animals like a goat, pig, horse, donkey, bunny, and baby chick. So many animals! She had a great time (and was slept really well that night).

Here's what Lindsey's been doing recently. Up top is by far her favorite activity--aside from playing with William--reading books!! Lindsey loves to sit and read and read and read and read! The next picture shows Lindsey climbing on William's fan box. She loves climb on top of everything now--yikes! After that is "The Neenah Game." Lindsey enjoys taking her "neenah" and sticking it Daddy's mouth...Very cute. Lastly, Linds loves to carry her stuffed animals around and then leave them all over the place. She's carrying Winnie the Pooh in this picture.

11 Months Old

Lindsey is 11 months old today! I can't believe that almost a whole year has just blown by. She is growing up so fast. She hardly crawls at all anymore. If she falls down on her butt, she'll get into a squatting position and stand herself back up. She bends over to pick up toys, etc. Of course all of that means that I hardly ever get to sit. She is a very, very busy girl. Still, one of her favorite things to do is read. We can sit together and read 7 - 8 books in a sitting. And of course, her favorite toy is her big brother. The last picture shows those two in front of the garden (taken today). She wasn't too keen on the idea, though. Time for some parties soon. William is having his parties these next coming weekends. And then, it's time for Lindsey's big # 1. We're gunna go with an Elmo theme :)

Her First Fourth

Lindsey had a great first fourth of July! First was the parade in Union Grove and then off to Grandma's for a barbecue! Later we saw the fireworks down on North Beach. Overall, a great day!
