Just Playing in My Jammies :)

Just wanted to post of a few pictures of Lindsey just casually hanging out in her jammies that way you can capture what it's like when she's winding down for the night. The first picture she is just hanging out with her daddy having some crackers before bed. The second and third picture Lindsey is playing on her puppy (Bailey) on our bed. The last picture of Lindsey finally asleep in her bed, all tuckered out. The video is just funny. She thought it was a good idea to hang out in our bathroom on the toilet with her Little People toys. She kept arranging and re-arranging them on the back of the toilet, having her own little conversation. Kinda gross, if you ask me, but I do clean in there occasionally ;)

Barn Dance!! (Ashley, You'd Be Proud! 2)

I know this blog is titled "All About Lindsey," but I only thought it fair to put some pictures and video clips on here, as well, since we are soooo proud of him playing the violin. He has done a wonderful job learning over this past Winter/Spring. All of our out of town friends and family can now see and hear William play. Enjoy!
P.S. The post is labeled (Ashley, you'd be proud 2) because my roommate, Ashley, used to play the violin when we were roommates. She let me try to play her violin once in college, and I quickly realized how hard it really is to get your arm and hands in the right position, etc. I knew she would be proud to see my seven year old little boy taking up the challenge and doing quite well with it!!

Lindsey & Sadie

Lindsey got to play with her cousin, Sadie (8 months old) last Friday. She was very sweet and even gave Sadie a bottle and a couple hugs. Here are a few pictures of them playing together.

Ashley, You'd Be proud!!

Back when William was an infant, my roommate and best friend, Ashley Brooks, gave William the book "Goodnight Moon." Since then, it has been handed down to Lindsey. The insider covers bears an inscription that says " To Little Will: Make sure that Mom & Dad read this to you A LOT!! Don't forget to find the mouse in EACH color picture! Have fun with my fave book! Love, Ashley." This has easily become one of Lindsey's favorite books. And Lindsey has found all of the mice on her own. She loves to find little things like that, and one day she noticed a little mouse hiding in a color picture. From then on, all she wanted to do was skip the black and white pages and jump ahead to the color pictures to see how quickly she could find the mice. She is very observant. How cute!! Ashley, you'd be proud :)

P.S. That is a new board book that I purchased specifically for Lindsey. She was starting to get rough with William's and I wanted to preserve that one :)

21 Months Old!!

Lindsey is getting sooo big! I know I say this everytime she reaches another month in age, but I can't believe how fast this has all gone. Almost 2!! Crazy...Among Lindsey's developments in the last month are quite a few things. Firstly, she is trying to talk like crazy now..too many words to mention, but William thinks it is hilarious when she says "sit." She'll try to tell Mongo to "sit" and he thinks it sounds like something else. Silly boy;) Lindsey can say a few letters of the alphabet (a, e and o)and recognize which ones those are, plus she knows several numbers and loves to very proudly say "8" and she finds that number everywhere she looks it seems!! :) She does a bunch of animal sounds--I think the snake's "hiss" is the cutest that she does. PLUS, she recognizes at least 8 colors (there's the number 8 again for her). You can put a pile of crayons or markers out and she will pick out the correct color that you ask her to. Such a smart baby.

Lindsey loves playing outside whenever she gets a chance, and over the last weekend, we tilled up the garden and I was able to plant my strawberries plants that I had started inside a few weeks back. Above are a few pictures showing her playing outside in the garden area jut having a blast:) Such a sweet happy baby....

Lindsey Loves Teletubbies!

Lindsey loves the Teletubbies...What more can I say? She has for quite some time now. William was the quite the fan when he was just a little tyke. In fact, his first birthday theme was Teletubbies!! While I was at the local consignment store, Lindsey spotted a lot of 5 Teletubbies and 2 DVDs that she just had to have (and all for only $8). She wouldn't even put them down! There's my little Lindser, arms full up of these adorable stuffed guys. I had been sitting on the fence for a while about buying some off of ebay for her, since I never actually got the stuffed dolls for William. BUT, while I was there for a cute pair of pink rain boots, we spotted the Tubbies and had to have them. Here are a few pictures of her playing with them.

May Day!

Since May Day is typically associated with flowers, I thought I would post some recent pictures of Lindsey's room--which has an overall floral theme. Everyone is doing well here. We have been busy playing outside and doing yard work, preparing the garden, etc. I have also included a couple pictures of Lindsey staring at and holding a ladybug--her favorite!!!! She really loves to look at bugs, whether it be a ladybug or ants. She will lay down on her tummy and just watch them crawl around, and then eventually, curiosity will get the better of her and she will pick it up and eventually squish the ladybug and carry it around by its wing. Oh well. Sure is cute to watch her observe! (P.S. The last picture is of her waving "hello" to the ladybug.)
